What kind of ceremonies am I available for?
I do civil (non-legal) ceremonies and I am registered with th HSE as a Legal Minister/Solemniser.
How long will a ceremony take?
It usually takes 20 to 40 minutes.
Does the wedding ceremony have to be in a licensed premise?
No, I can officiate ceremonies anywhere - be it on top of a hill or down by the sea.
Do we need witnesses?
Yes, for a legal ceremony and also have a designated person in charge of the legal documents. Not for a Civil Ceremony, it can even be just the two of you or as many guests as you like.
What is your itinerary?
It varies for the different ceremonies.
(a). For Weddings:
1. Can Email/Meet/Zoom/Whats App Video - for a general chat, to see if I am the right Celebrant for your ceremony. Then you decide and let me know.
2. I can meet/Whats App Video/Zoom again - to discuss in detail what your desires and wishes are. You pay a deposit asap to secure the date with remaining balance to be paid two weeks prior to weddings and Baby Naming.
3.I send you out a questionnaire for you both to fill out separate copies and return to me within a certain time.
4.I create the script for the ceremony.
5. I email it to you and your loved one for your approval or amendment.
6. Remaining balance is to be paid two weeks before the wedding.
7. Rehearsals - the evening prior to the big day for an extra fee. I will rehearse everything except your personal vows - as these you keep secret until the actual day.
8. The big day has arrived - I will conduct the ceremony. I usually arrive an hour or two in advance; just to be sure that everything is in running order; retrieve the green folder containing the legal documents if needed and check in with musicians/singers/readers.
9. I stay on after the ceremony to hand over the legal documents to the designated person.
10. Can you legally marry us?
Yes, I am a fully qualified FuturFaith Minister and I'm recognised and registered by the Irish state and can legally marry you.
